Welcome to our friendly club.
Our aim: To create and manage a club that welcomes all-comers – people who are new to photography, those who want to share their photographs and skills with others and those who want to become even better.
The Camera Club has a new venue
The Camera Club has a new venue, so from September the club will be meeting at the Tenterden Social Hub in Church lane. Our first meeting will be held on the 12th September, with our guest speaker Alma Leaper.
September Speaker – Alma Leaper
The club would like to say thank you – Alma was our first speaker at our new venue and she gave us an amazing and fascinating insight to life at the Big Cat Sanctuary and about the amazing work they do there. Alma gave us a little brief history about some of the individual characters they look after, along some amazing pictures of these magnificent cats. Yet not all the cats at the sanctuary are big, some in fact are quite small but they are equally as impressive and equally endangered. The Big Cat Sanctuary holds Photographic Workshops to help raise funds for these big cats, a worthy cause and definitely a day out you won’t forget. Visit their website here
With this summer being such scorcher, the club decided to make the most of its club nights and so went walkabouts in around our local area. To read about a couple of the walks we went on Click Here
Some light reading…
If you would like to find out more on lighting your subjects and enjoy a good read, then the three books shown below will help you light your subjects under difficult conditions. To read how they help me with difficult reflections click here.
